The night before weigh in...

So it's less than 24 hours until weigh in. Today I have used all of my syns but I am confident I will have a loss on those scales tomorrow.

Breakfast was a ham & marmite eggy bread sandwich followed by a grapefruit, pear and a fat free yogurt.

Lunch was 2 homemade burgers (with a laughing cow triangle in the middle) served with tenderstem broccoli and asparagus.

Snacked on a Honey Monster Stix mid afternoon (2.5 syns)

Dinner tonight was a family meal out at the local Harvester. I opted for half a spitroast chicken with peas and flat mushrooms instead of potato. I then added lots of superfree salad from the salad bar. Should be syn free but I will count a couple incase they used any oil. After dinner I had a Chocolate Sundae Best (12.5 syns)

So today hasn't been a total disaster, having only gone over my syns by a couple (if any) and I am looking forward to weighing in tomorrow. I'll keep you posted on my result!

Still going strong!

Breakfast today was 2 weetabix with Koko Chocolate Milk (HeA + 1.5 syns) warmed up then added forest fruits.

Lunch was a ham & laughing cow salad sandwich with blueberries and a mullerlight fat free yogurt.

Snacked on 2 Honey Monster Snax bars (5 syns, a definite one to recommend!) and a frozen yogurt lolly mid afternoon.

Dinner was Brinner (breakfast for dinner) 3 Tesco Healthy Living Sausages (3 syns) with lean bacon, frylight eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms.

So 9.5 syns down today and still gping strong :-) definitely looking forward to what those scales say in a couple of days!

Smuggling treats!

You'll be glad to hear that I'm still happy and 100% on plan :-)

Breakfast today as another take on overnight oats... this time with raspberry & cranberry yogurt topped with strawberries, blueberries and raspberries then drizzled with a tbsp of golden syrup (2.5 syns)

Lunch was a Chicken and tomato toastie with salad and a mullerlight.

Headed off to the cinema this evening, and I did my usual smuggling of my low syn treats! Tonight I had 8 flying saucers (2 syns), an 11g bag of Metcalfe's skinny topcorn (2.5 syns) an alpen light (3 syns) and some strawberries & raspberries in a little pot :-)

After the cinema my friend and I went off to my local for some grub... I opted for a mixed grill (sorry I forgot my pic!) I was rather pleased that they forgot my sausage, leaving me with small cuts of steak, gammon, lamb and pork with some peas, half a tomato, a small flat mushroom and lots of salad. Totally syn free! (but I will count a couple for any oil)

So another good day! I've also attached an updated pic of myself wearing my new size 12 (!!!) Cath Kidston dress (never thought that day would come!)

Happy slimmer

So today I am in such a good mood! I have stuck to plan 100% this week, counted every syn and I am just feeling really positive.

Breakfast today was 2 wholemeal toast (HeB1) topped with lean bacon and scrambled eggs with mushrooms and tomatoes on the side.

Lunch was a selection of superfree (cucumber, carrot, celery, banana) a toffee mullerlight and 2 alpen lights (HeB2)

My mum and nephew came to visit mid afternoon, my nephew wanted sweet treats so I had some bits too. 4x midako (2 syns) 10x flying saucers (2.5 syns) and a pink'n'white (2.5 syns)

Dinner was Big Mac on a plate: mince, onions, gherkins on a bed of lettuce, tomatoes and gherkins then topped with 3 light cheese slices (HeA) and a tbsp of light thousand island dressing (0.5 syn)

So got through my day with 7.5 syns, do have movie night with friends so still have 7.5 syns to play with if they want treats, so all is good :-)

Feeling more in control :-)

So after my week off plan I am finally feeling like I am back in control.

Got home last night and put some porridge and yogurt in the fridge to soak overnight. This morning I topped it with sloced pear, banana and a tbsp of golden syrup (2.5 syns)

Lunch was a Chicken & Mushroom Pizza Omelette, it was by far the best lunch I have ever eaten in my life! And so simple! I added 3 beaten eggs to a frying pan with frylight. Once cooked I topped with passata, pre-cooked diced chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes and 40g of reduced fat cheddar. DELICIOUS!

Dinner was usual Thursday night at the besties. Tonight we had chicken fillets with lots of superfree and 200g of diced potato. As my bestie and her son tucked into rice pudding, I had myself a 5 syn bag of treats (I prepared it this afternoon!)
So 7.5 syns consumed today, and feeling positive about my week ahead. Looking forward to weigh in already!

I'm back!

Sorry for the lack of posting for the past week... I went up to visit family in Newcastle and I didn't give posting a thought. Not only does that mean I wasn't tracking the food I was consuming, but I got into the mentality of thinking it was OK to eat anything and everything... it was not OK!

I weighed in yesterday after 6 days off plan and I gained a disgusting 10.5lbs! I have never gained that much before and it has really knocked me for six!

This morning was a fresh start...

Breakfast was 2 wholemeal toast with eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes.

Lunch was 4 mikado sticks, a hifi light bar, 70g dried apricots, more fruit and a mullerlight yogurt.

Snacked on some gherkins, celery and cheese mid afternoon.

Dinner was a pre-prepared spag bol (courtesy of my SW Bestie, Terri) with broccoli and carrots.

So I have managed my day having only 5 syns, a HeA and 2 HeB. Absolutely over the moon! Now to carry on this way for the rest of the week (I will be aiming to continue following the Original plan) and I promise to keep you posted!

Lazy meals

Day one of my latest challenge and I have to say it has gone well :-)

Breakfast was cous cous pancakes with banana and pear... I made them all by myself. Yes they took me 45 minutes to make and I ended up in pain but I managed it and have proved to myself that if I allow more time and have more breaks I can still have the foods I enjoy the most.

Due to the pain caused my making breakfast I opted for an easy lunch. Hubby boiled me a couple of eggs and 2 small potatoes; I had them with a banana, an apple and a fat free yogurt.

Went to the cinema with a friend early evening and we opted to get a salad from asda to have for dinner whilst watching our film. I also had some carrot sticks and some pineapple.

Just got home from the cinema and realised I hadn't had either of my healthy extras so I had a wholemeal cheese and marmite toastie followed by 2 clementines.

So a fantastic day all round, with no syns consumed. Our trip to Newcastle starts at 6am tomorrow and we will be home at around 10am on Monday... Hoping to be on plan as much as I can. I will also try to post every night, but unsure on what hubby's family has in store for us!

Tuesday, 18 March 2014

Hard day!

So today has been difficult!

Breakfast was 2 wholemeal toast and black coffee. No more foid allowed due to hand surgery scheduled for the afternoon.
Actually starving for an op was ok and resulted in a 1lb at weigh in, but I'm back home from my surgery and in a lot of pain and struggling to use my phone...

So cutting my post short this evening and I will endeavour to be on plan plus post again tomorrow.

Getting ready for a difficult few weeks...

So not only is tomorrow weigh in day but I am also having an operation on my hand. It is revision surgery after having something done at the beginning of my slimming world journey, and I remember everyday things being difficult to accomplish... so tonight I have been cleaning my house, packing a bag ready for tomorrow and also a trip to see family later in the week, and trying not to eat off plan at the same time!

Following the original plan today.... Breakfast was 2 slices of wholemeal toast with eggs and mushrooms.

Lunch (if you could call it that! More like eating through my workload!) was a banana, an orange and a mullerlight yogurt.

Dinner was fajita style chicken with peppers, onions and 2 B Free wraps (HEB plus 4.5 syns) and reduced fat cheddar. It was absolutely delicious!

Worked up a bit of an appetite doing all this housework so I have just had 2 pink n whites (5 syns)... now to sit in bed sorting a mountain of socks! This could be a late one!

Sunday, 16 March 2014

Bleh!

So last night wasn't a complete disaster, but I definitely went over my syn allowance for the day. Drank mainly vodka with sugarfree soft drinks, but I did have one cider and a small slice of pizza.

Today has been a day filled with food (trying to cure my heartburn!)

Breakfast was a bacon and egg sandwich with wholemeal bread.

Lunch was 3 ryvita with light laughing cow triangles, a banana, a pear and a fat free yogurt.

Snacked on some hoisin duck skewers (1 syn) and a pink n white (2.5 syns) mid afternoon.

Dinner was cajan pork steaks served with broccoli and carrots, and around an hour later I had 2 meringue nests 5 syns) filled with fat free yogurt and banana plus a chopped apple.

So I have had 8.5 syns today, and to make up for the extra syns I had last night I will be trying my hardest not to have any syns tomorrow. Really hoping there is a loss on the scales this week, but i really can't be sure how it is going to go yet!

Lining my stomach with healthy foods!

I am having a girly night tonight and am expecting to be drinking copious amounts of vodka therfore today has been spent lining my stomach with healthy meals!

Breakfast was cous cous pancakes with forest fruits and a weight watchers strawberry cheesecake yogurt.

Lunch was a B Free wrap filled with salad, 2 joes chilli sausages and sliced babybel. Fancied something sweet for after so I had a clementine, and chopped pear mixed with a rhubarb yogurt and a crushed meringue nest (2.5 syns)

Dinner was chargrilled chicken breasts with mangetout, baby corn and sliced potato.

So yes I will intake more syns than usual this evening, but I have chosen the lowest syn alcohol I could and if I have to I will go syn free for the rest of the week!

Friday, 14 March 2014

Saving up...

Breakfast was 2 mini tomato & mushroom omelettes and an apple.

Snacked on a plum mid morning.

Lunch was 4 ryvita topped with 4 laughing cow light emmental triangles (HEB, HEB) with cucumber, celery, fish sticks and a grapefruit.

Snacked on an apple mid afternoon.

Dinner was a meal out at the harvester flr a friends birthday. I had 1/2 spitroast chicken served with peas, mushrooms and boiled potatoes plus a side of superfree salad.

So a syn free day (give or take a couple for any oil used at the harvester) I'm saving up as many syns as I can so that I can have a well deserved drink with friends tomorrow night. I am determined to have a loss this week!

Thursday, 13 March 2014

Tasty!

Breakfast today was cous cous mixed with a weight watchers apple & pear yogurt and chopped apple & pear.

Snacked on 4 chewits (2 syns) and a plum mid morning.

Lunch was salad with fish sticks and 3 babybel lights (HEA).

Dinner was salmon with boiled potatoes and steamed carrots, brocolli & asparagus. Pud was a 3.5 syn curly wurly and a B Free wrap (HEB) filled with clementine, yogurt and 2 syns of choc shot.

So had some tasty treats today and managed to get through the day with 7.5 syns even with my sweet tooth!

Wednesday, 12 March 2014

Speed Foods...

So this week I am going to make an effort to eat some speed foods.

Breakfast was an apple, pear, clementine and 1 hifi light (speed food as I only had one, not two hifis)

Snacked on a plum mid morning.

Lunch was a jacket potato with beans and salad.

Dinner was food at the local carvery with hubby. Veg without butter made especially for me, served with a selection of meats... syns were for some roast potatoes (5) and a ladle of gravy (1)

As I hadn't had any HEA today I just drank 250ml of semi skimmed milk.

So managed to get through my day with just 6 syns. Fingers crossed for a 2lb loss next week!

Tuesday, 11 March 2014

The moment of truth...

So tonight was weigh in day...

Breakfast was bran flakes with apple,  pear and fat free yogurt.

No lunch today, just a costa skinny latte.

Got to weigh in and I am very pleased to announce a 2.5lb loss! That means I am now only 11lbs from target :-D

Set a mini target of 2lbs this week in the hope of getting into single numbers... fingers crossed! I'll keep you posted!

Monday, 10 March 2014

The night before weigh in...

Breakfast today was scrambled eggs, mushrooms, 2 slices of lean bacon and tomato.

Snacked on some dried fruit from my Graze box mid morning (5.5 syns)

Lunch was quorn, 2 light cheese slices (HEA), lettuce, tomato and cucumber in a B Free wrap (HEB) with 1 tbsp of low fat thousand island dressing (1 syn) followed by an apple, clementine and a fat free yogurt.

Dinner this evening was stir fried chilli & garlic veg (mangetout, babycorn, mushrooms, pepper, onion and asparagus) topped with a diced chicken breast... devine!

After dinner I baked a batch of cupcakes for a charity bake sale, baked my favourite flavour (apple & cinnamon with a vanilla frosting) and I didn't even have one myself... now that's a first!

Just snacked on a SW truffle at 3.5 syns.

So got through today with 10 syns. Have made some really good choices this wrek and I am really hoping those scales are friendly tomorrow evening!!

Sunday, 9 March 2014

Sweet tooth!

So today I have got a real sweet tooth!

Breakfast was fruit salad (pineapple, apple, clementine) topped with coconut yogurt.

Lunch was syn free burger stack packed with 2 joe's beef burgers, 3 slices of light cheese (hea) lettuce, gherkins, tomato, a tsp of ketchup (0.5 syn) in a wholemeal roll (heb) it was LUSH!

Dinner was 2 Quorn Fillets with lots of superfree (roasted peppers, butternut squash chips, asparagus, mangetout) not sure on the quorn as I found it quite bland but the veg was really tasty!

As I ate dinner quite early I have just snacked on some pineapple and a couple of microwaved pink'n'whites (5 syns)

So a good day all round, but I have found my sweet tooth today. I am going to make a conscious effort not to eat any more today... fruit teas are at the ready!

Saturday, 8 March 2014

Late night blogging...

Sorry for posting so late, I was at my besties and was there longer than expected!

Breakfast today was 35g bran flakes with a fat free coconut & vanilla yogurt and defrosted forest fruits.

Lunch was a selection of carrot sticks, celery, fish sticks, a clementine, sliced potatoes and some black pepper dippers with mango chutney from my Graze Box (4 syns)

Met up with the bestie mid afternoon and we walked around Coate Water. Afterwards we opted for pub grub... I had a mixed grill but asked for no onion rings, pineapple or sausage and replaced them with salad, plus swapped my chips for a butter-free jacket potato. It was delicious and the only syns were for my fried egg at 0.5 syn (give or takd a couple for any oil used)

My godson wanted ice cream when we got home so I got him a chocolate cone with a flake, and I opted for a 4.5 syn Twister :-)

So I have managed another meal out today, and resisted high syn options for my meal and ice cream... and got through my day with 9 syns (11 if you add a couple for oil)

And on an even brighter note, I have been wearing a size 12 pair of trousers all day... for the first time! Very happy bunny indeed!

Friday, 7 March 2014

Proud moment!

Breakfast today was 2 Ryvita topped with mushrooms, tomato, onion and a scrammbled egg.

Snacked on a plum mid morning.

Lunch was Thai Sweet Chilli Supernoodles, a pear, an apple and a fat free yogurt.

Snacked on another 2 ryvita when I got home from work but this time topped with marmite and 40g reduced fat cheddar.

So proud of myself this evening... went out for a meal at Frankie & Bennie's with some old school friends. All week I have had the mentality of eating what I want then damage limitation by cutting my syns for the rest of the week... but no! During my lunchbreak today I logged onto SW online and the F&B website, read through all the options and decided on my meal in advance. I managed to get through the night with a syn free main (give or take a couple of syns for any oil, but it was a pasta dish so I doubt they used any) and a 10 syn pud :-) I even had salad with my main to get extra superfree!!

So my old habits are definitely being replaced by new ones and they are very much for the better! I look forward to a future where I am healthy, fit and slim! This week is going to be a good one I'm sure!!

Thursday, 6 March 2014

Mixing it up...

So instead of my usual HEB choice for breakfast I saved it for lunch and had an omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes and ham topped with cheese instead.

Snacked on an apple mid morning.

Lunch was my HEB as a can of Baxters Chicken Broth soup followed by a grapefruit and a clementine.

Dinner was thursday night meal at the besties, and we had a syn free turkey curry packed with lots of superfree (tomatoes, carrots, onions, peppers) served with boiled rice.

For pud I treated myself to a 14g curly wurly for 3.5 syns.

So overall a very good day and I'm trying to plan a low syn meal out with friends tomorrow! Wish me luck!

Wednesday, 5 March 2014

Running around like a headless chicken!

Breakfast was 35g of porridge with hazelnut milk topped with apple and pear.
Snacked on a plum mid morning.

Lunch was a big salad with lots of superfree (beetroot, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, onions, sweetcorn) with 2 boiled eggs and some plain rice followed by another plum.

After work I was running around like a headless chicken... into town straight from work to try and sort out a broken phone, then off to give blood, then to my sisters to do her nails! By the time I had finished all that it was 7.30 so hubby and I decided on Toby Carvery for dinner. I had lots of superfree (carrots, cauliflour, cabbage, peas) made especially for me so that I had no butter, a selection of meats, 3 roast potatoes (5 syns maximum, better to over compensate and under!) and a ladle of gravy (1 syn)

Now I'm home snuggling with hubby and glad to have got through the day having only had 6 syns.

Tuesday, 4 March 2014

Weigh in...

Breakfast this morning was wholemeal toast topped with ham and eggs.

Skipped lunch today as I was busy at work, and as you know I don't like to eat much before weighing in!

Got to weigh in tonight and I am pleased to announce a 0.5lb loss. Its not a lot, but it is star week, I had a naughty meal on Saturday and it is still a loss! And with a total weight loss of 6st 8lb loss so far... I was awarded Eldene Slimming World's Greatest Loser 2014!

We had a food taster so I had lots of yummy SW friendly foods.

Hopefully a bigger loss will come my way next week! I do have a meal out on Friday with school friends but I will be havong minimal syns to compensate for it! I'll keep you updated!

Monday, 3 March 2014

Preparing treats!

Breakfast today was porridge with hazelnut milk topped with strawberries, blueberries and banana.

Lunch was a tuna salad (if you could call it that!) from the work canteen... it consisted of some rocket, mixed leaves, 2 slices of cucumber and half a tomato topped with some plain tuna. As my 'salad' was pitiful I also had an apple and a pear.

Snacked on a frozen banana when I got home from work.

Dinner was a chunky omelette with chicken (left over from yesterday's roast) ham, asparagus, pepper, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Never thought of putting asparagus in an omelette before and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

After dinner I had a handful of grapes and then started making some 1 syn carrot cake bites for our food taster at my SW group tomorrow night... obviously I had to taste them... so I also snacked on 2 meaning my day is complete with only 2 syns :-)

I am anxious about weigh in tomorrow, it's star week and also I am unsure of what syns I consumed on Saturday at the buffet even though I made a conscious effort to behave. Only time will tell... I'll keep you posted!

Sunday, 2 March 2014

Yummy foods :-)

I have had some really tasty food today :-)

Breakfast was a fruit salad (banana, strawberries, blueberries and grapes) topped with fat free yogurt and a chopped up cereal bar (3 syns)

Lunch was Ryvita topped with ham and cheesy veg (finely diced tomatoes, mushrooms, onion, peppers and my HEA of reduced fat cheddar)

Snacked on a pear and an apple mid afternoon.

Dinner was a SW roast dinner. Chicken, dry roasted potatoes, broccoli, swede/carrots, brussel sprouts, cabbage and 1.5 syn of gravy.

Around an hour after dinner I decided to have some pud... strawberries, blueberries, grapes with quark and 2 syns of choc shot.

So 6.5 syns all day and feeling good about my week so far :-)
