Disappointed :-(

So today started off really well...

Breakfast was 35g of bran flakes with a 75ml semi skimmed milk followed by fruit salad.

Lunch was fennel and leek soup followed by a grapefruit and 2 clementines.

This evening was weekly dinner with the bestie and we decided that the menu tonight would be BBQ bean lasagne with salad. So Heinz BBQ beans, chopped tomatoes, celery, peppers, onions and carrot all mixed together and reduced down layered between pasta sheets topped with quark and reduced fat cheddar... Delicious. The salad was a pre-packaged one from asda with lots of superfree and I grabbed an avocado to have on top as my new veg of the week. It was really yummy. I later discovered that avocado is actually not syn free but is infact 9.5 syns per 100g!!! So disappointed in myself for not checking, and just assuming that because it was veg (or fruit, not sure which!) that it would be syn free.

So my day which only had 3 syns in it soon went a lot higher. I dont know how many syns I consumed in avocado, as assuming it was syn free I didn't weigh it, but going on the fact I had half an avocado I am hoping to get away with syning it at 9.5.

Therefore I don't think I have gone over my syns for the day, but I will be making some cut backs for the rest of the week to allow for my meal out on Saturday!

Meals out don't mean fat!

Feeling good after another loss this week.
Breakfast yesterday was 2 slices of wholemeal toast topped with scrambled eggs and mushrooms.

Snacked on a banana with a skinny latte mid morning.

Lunch was spiced root vegetable soup followed by cherries.

Dinner was a meal out with hubby and friends. We went off to toby carvery for lots of veg and meat. Ordinarily their veg is covered in butter, but ask for a plate of veg without butter and they are more than happy to oblige. So the only syns I had to account for were 1 syn of gravy and some roast potatoes (2.5 syns per 100g) I had 4 small potatoes so counted 5 syns for them.

Very happy with how my day went and I'm hoping for a syn free (or low syn) day today!

I'm a loser...

Another 2lb off on the scales last night. Not quite on track with my target by the end of March but I am still overjoyed. 2.25lbs a week between now and the end of March will get my 11st target in the bag, and I am going to my very best to get it!

And not only did I lose 2lb last night, but with a 12.5lb loss for the month I also got the award for Slimmer of the Month for January! Feels like its been a long time since I got one of those, so completely over the moon!

Meal out for my friend's birthday this Saturday so this week will be minimal syns, but I'm going back to Extra Easy and I am excited about the week ahead :-)

Fingers crossed...

Today is the last day before my weigh in and I have no idea what those scales are going to say tomorrow! I have been really good this week, but I feel really bloated and I'm really hoping the gain is just in my head!

Breakfast this morning was 35g fruit n fibre with water followed by a grapefruit.

Lunch was fennel and leek soup plus 2 clementines.

Came home from work and snacked on 2 ryvita with light philly.

Dinner was chicken strips with peppers, asparagus and curly kale.

So been 100% on plan again today and I am crossing my fingers for tomorrow!

Feeling the heat!

Breakfast this morning was a sweet omelette (2 eggs and vanilla essence) with morello cherries and kiwi.

Lunch was cheese (hea) tomato and onion on toast (heb) with mackerel in tomatoes followed by a 0.5 syn strawberry greek yogurt.

Dinner was chinese 5 spice chicken with stir fried veg... I chopped a whole (large) medium chilli thinking it wouldn't be too hot, I even added the seeds... and it blew my head off! Luckily I like spicy food, but next time I think I will tone down the chilli addition!

For pud, whilst watching come dine with me, I had a bowl of low syn treats. 3 syns of flying saucers and a 3.5 syn milkybar. Love being able to have treats and still lose weight :-)

Another good day on plan and managed to get through the weekend low syn. Looking forward to those scales on Tuesday!

Extra easy

Breakfast yesterday was 2 wholemeal toast with frylight eggs, bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes.

Lunch was homemade fennel and leek soup followed by an exotic fruit salad of melon, kiwi, passionfruit drizzled with 1 syn of choc shot.

Mid afternoon I snacked on a Toffee Greek Style yogurt at 0.5 syns and a 'pear tatin' from my graze box at 7 syns.

Dinner was spag bol with lots of superfree (peppers, carrots, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes) with a small amount of pasta.

So overall a good day, 8.5 syns all day and I even snuck in a trip to the gym!

Feeling the weight

Breakfast yesterday was 2 hifi light bars and a mango greek style yogurt (0.5 syns) with passionfruit stirred in. Never had passionfruit before, and I have to say it was delicious!

Lunch was another salad with a few less pickled items but still lots of superfree with my favourite seafood sticks. I followed this with another yogurt at (0.5 syns)

Whilst making dinner i 'played' with my new toys... dumbells! I did a 10 minute toning exercise with my 2.3kg weighs, and trust me, I'm feeling it today!

Dinner was steak with lots of roasted superfree... butternut squash, mushrooms, tomatoes and sweetbite peppers. Pud was an item from my Graze box... a bread basket :-) garlic crostini, basil baguettes and oregano rice balls. Delicious and only 4.5 syns.

So feeling good about my week so far, and I'm even hoping to squeeze a gym sesh or two in over the weekend!

Chocolate treat!

Breakfast yesterday was 2 wholemeal toast topped with marmite followed by a grapefruit.

Lunch was a big superfree salad with lots of pickled veg plus seafood sticks followed by a 0.5 syn strawberry greek yogurt.

Dinner was thursday night at the besties. We had maggi so juicy garlic chicken (4.5 syns for the lot so counted 2.5 to be safe) with carrot, swede, brocolli and cauliflour. For pud we had nee Choc Shot as a hot chocolate, yummy! (2 syns per tbsp, 0.5 syn per tsp... I had one of each making it 2.5syns) next time though, I am using it as a drizzle on some fruit :-)

So still going strong! Hoping for a semi-decent loss on those scales next week!

Hosting

Breakfast yesterday was 2 weetabix made with water and heated topped with defrosted fruit salad.

Snacked on 2 plums and a 2 syn maoam mid morning.

Lunch was Baxters Chicken Broth soup followed by 2 clementines.

So last night I was hosting and made dinner for friends of mine and the hubby's. I made flylight roasties, carrot & swede, brocolli, butternut squash then some peas and gammon for them, and chicken for me... compliments all round, and little did they know, the only syns they had was the gravy! (I made stock cube gravy for myself so it was syn free)

They're even coming back to try more SW friendly food next week!

After dinner I had a treat my my Graze Box... the best carrot cake I have ever tasted at only 4 syns!

So even when you have friends round, SW is easy to adapt and to fair, they don't tell the difference!

Tuesday, 21 January 2014

Weigh in day!

So I got up an extra hour early this morning so that I could do some more toning exercises. Today I did buns and arms!

Not only have a started doing this regularly now but I also lost 2lbs again this week! 1st 6lbs away from target now :-) and I've even got superfree spag bol when I get home instead of takeaway! Proud moment or what?!? :-P

Aching :-(

So after a night out dancing with the girls I have had two days of agony with my hip. I don't regret it, I had a good night, but maybe I overdid it a bit! Masking the pain yesterday made me so tired and achy that I just wanted an early night, hence no post, but instead of ordering takeaways like I used to I stayed 100% on plan.

Breakfast yesterday was a mushroom, tomato and sliced potato omelette.

Lunch was a quick veggie curry (chickpea dhal, onions, mushrooms, carrots, chopped tomatoes and lots of curry powder)

Dinner was a meal out with the hubby at the harvester. I had my usual mixed grill with the naughty bits removed, but had 6 syns on onion rings, 0.5 syn on a fried egg and 3 syns on better. My entire meal was 9.5 syns but still within my allowance :-)

Breakfast this morning was 35g fruit n fibre with banana.

Snacked on an apple mid morning.

Lunch was leftover veggie curry.

Came home, and despite my hip pain I did 20 minutes of toning exercises with a new dvd I got yesterday. 10 mins of thighs and 10 mins of abs.

My workout gave me an appetite... dinner was a bowl on bolognase. Less than 5% fat mince with lots of superfree chucked in (peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic)

Finishing the day of with 4.5 syns of rainbow drops whilst reading in bed.

Have no idea what the scales are going to say for me tomorrow, but I'll keep you updated!

Sunday, 19 January 2014

Feeling fab!

Yesterday breakfast was cous cous pancakes with summer fruits and yogurt.

Lunch was garlic and herb syn free sausages on a bed of mushrooms, tomatoes and onions (with more added garlic and mixed herbs, I must have been oozing garlic! Haha)

Dinner was something I have wanted to try for a while... Big Mac in a Bowl... less than 5% fat mince, onions, 2 light cheese slices melted in, on a bed of lettuce topped of with another slice of light cheese and 2tbsp of thousand island dressing... literally tasted like a deconstructed Big Mac and was absolutely delicious (plus it was only 2 syns!)

Then off out for a sober night dancing with the girls. I felt amazing! It's the first time I have been out in 5 months, and the first time in forever I wore a dress which came slightly above the knee without tights... and without trying to blow my own trumpet, I looked hot! Gone are the days of worrying about what 'fat' comments are coming my way or feeling self conscious that I look like a whale! Onwards and upwards I say!

As we didnt leave town until after midnight, I was feeling peckish, so I finished my day with a chicken kebab (no pitta) topped with lemon juice and lots of salad. So even with a night out and a 'Big Mac' I managed to get through my day having only consumed 7.5 syns :-)

Saturday, 18 January 2014

Cravings...

Breakfast yesterday was warm weetabix topped with chopped banana.

Lunch was very orange, buy very yummy! Curried root vegetable soup followed a persimmon.

So for weeks I have been craving hot dogs, and for just as long I have been putting off eating them because I had this thought that true hot dog is in a bun with onions, keptchup and mustard... but no they're not! I made pasta with chopped tomatoes, mushrooms, heinz chilli beans, and chopped hot dog sausages. It was absolutely delicious and well worth 4 syns!

Friday, 17 January 2014

Aching!

So after Wednesday's gym and swim session, I spent yesterday aching! All over! But feel good for it :-)

Breakfast was cous cous mixed with yogurt and cherries.

Snacked on a £1 asda fruit pot mid morning.

Lunch was grab and go before work so I had a packet of pasta n sauce made with water (syn free) followed my some grapes and a clementine.

Came home from work and sorted through all my clothes as trying to find something for work which actually fits has become a bit of a challenge. I ended up with 2 large bags of clothes to pass onto a friend as they are now to big for me... in one light, I have dropped more dress sizes... in another, damn it is expensive replacing your wardrobe again and again!! Especially when some of the clothes you give away still have tags on!

So after that fiasco, I headed off to the besties for our Thursday night dinner and catch up. We had the chilli and corriander burgers I made last week, with asparagus, peppers, mushrooms and a handful of SW chips.

Thursday, 16 January 2014

feeling good!

So yesterday was yet another positive day :-)

Breakfast was ryvita topped with light babybel followed by a kiwi and an apricot.
Lunch was homemade curried root vegateble soup followed by a pot of grapes and an apple... very filling and lots of superfree.

Dinner was pub food with one of the besties, I had a mixed grill with jacket potato and all the naughty bits removed to make it a 0.5 syn meal (for my fried egg) then headed to the cinema and instead of stuffing my face with popcorn or ice cream I had a 4.5 syn dip dap :-)

So things so far are looking promising, now to keep going for the rest of the week!

The moment of truth...

So tonight was weigh in and o am very pleased to say that I had a 2lbs loss :-) I was hoping for 2.5lbs but beggars cant be choosers lol.

And I am super proud of myself because, as you all know, tuesday is treat night. I haven't deprived myself but instead of having lots of crap like takeaway full of grease followed by chocolate and crisps I have come home to make a syn free meal of 3% fat burgers with sliced potatoes and roasted peppers. I have eaten some milkyway stars and a jaffa cake, but that's leaps and bounds above most weeks! I've even got veg on the hob simmering to make soup for tomorrow's lunch!

Come on target!!!

Another double blog!

Sorry for double blogging again but last night was a night for me and the hubby so no posting could happen!

Breakfast yesterday was cous cous pancakes with cherries, grapes and yogurt.

Lunch was BBQ beans mixed with mushrooms on wholemeal toast sprinkled with my HEA of reduced fat cheese.

Dinner was chinese takeaway with the hubby, I had beef with mushrooms (4.5 syns) with half a serving boiled rice and half a serving of chow mein (3.5 syns)

So even with a takeaway I managed to het through the day on just 8 syns :-)

Breakfast this morning was 35g fruit n fibre with banana, grapes and semi skimmed milk.

Lunch was a ham salad, fat free yogurt and 2 clementines.

Came home this evening and thought I would give Quorn 'meat'balls a go... I had them with half a tin of BBQ beans, chopped tomatoes, onions and peppers plus lots of chilli powder... yummy! I finished that off with a 0.5syn serving of jelly with strawberries.

Feeling good this week, just hoping that after adding carbs back into my diet I will still get a loss on those scales tomorrow! I'll keep you posted!

Experimenting...

Woke up late this morning and needed to rush to town to get to the bank, and also go food shopping, so ended up skipping breakfast.

When I got home (at around 12.30) I made myself wholemeal toast topped with ham and 2 frylight eggs followed by blueberries.

Dinner this evening was something new... I made homemade chilli and coriander burgers (with a cheeky babybel popped in the middle) served with sw chunky chips, roasted sweet pepper and mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious! For pud I tried a new fruit... ranbutan... it's apparently very similar to a lychee but 'hairy'. Have to admit, I'm on the fence... tasted lovely but the texture could only be described as similar to meat fat! Was really strange! Not sure I will be buying them again in a hurry haha. As the fruit adventure ended up being a bit of a flop I treated myself to 2 small milybars at 3.5 syns each.

So another good day with only 7 syns consumed and I'm feeling good about my week so far!

Friday, 10 January 2014

Double blogging!

Breakfast yesterday was cous cous mixed with yogurt and kiwi.

Lunch was roast pork with carrots and new potatoes (havent been shopping yet so had to choose from the limited selection in the work canteen)

Dinner was my weekly meal at the besties and this week we made SW KFC Chicken which we served with sweet potato chips,  carrots, brocolli and roasted pepper... delish!!

Today was a rush out the door so I only had a persimmon, however they are really filling so ended up being enough for on the go, plus a large black coffee.

Lunch was jacket potato with beans and salad.

Dinner was an early one as I was heading off to Gala to lose my Bingo virginity... so I hsd leftover kfc chicken with savoury rice and carrots. Followed by a 3 syn hifi light. Then 2 hours of bingo with 24 fellow slimmers... none of us won a penny but was a great laugh!!

I'm home now and as it was about 6 hoirs ago since my dinner I have just snacked on two pickled eggs and some grapes :-)

So two very low syn days and I am going into the weekend with a very determined head on my shoulders!

Wednesday, 8 January 2014

Extra Easy!

So yesterday I went back to the trusted Extra Easy plan after weeks of Original (Red) days. I haven't got anything planned to trip me up this week and do me honest, I was missing carbs!

Breakfast was cous cous mixed with a strawberry yogurt and chopped banana.

Lunch was Low Fat Thai Sweet Chilli Supernoodles followed by a big fruit salad of persimmon, plum, kiwi and apple.

Went swimming after work so snacked on 2 hifi light bars to give me some added energy before heading off and swimmimg 400m with the bestie!!! So proud of us!!

Came home for dinner and had 3 Joe's Chilli Sausages (I was hungry after that swim!) with sliced potatoes, asparagus,  sugarsnap peas and flat mushrooms. YUMMY!

Finished the day off with 25g of Rainbow Drops for 4.5 syns whilst reading in bed :-)

Tuesday, 7 January 2014

Happy fricking days!!

So today is weigh in day...

I know I have been good this week...

I know I have made good choices...

and I only went and lost 6.5lbs!!!!! So happy right now!

2.5lbs off to rid myself of my xmas gain, and I am more than confident that will come off next week!

And an updated photo of before and today is linked for you :-)

Monday, 6 January 2014

Double blogging!

Yesterday breakfast was 4 ryvita with 200g cottage cheese with pineapple (3 syns) and ham followed by grapes.

Lunch was a can of Asda Lamb Tagine (1.5 syns) with added carrots.

Went to the gym mid afternoon and by the time I got home I wanted a dinner that was quick so I had a seafood stick salad with lots of picked baby gherkins :-)

Breakfast today was 2 slices of wholemeal toast topped with banana.

Snacked on an apple mid morning.

Lunch was Baxters Chicken Broth soup (heb) followed by a fat free yogurt, a grapefruit and 2 satsumas.

Tonight was date night with the hubby, pub dinner was salmon salad. Then off to the cinema, instead of high syn sweets and popcorn I had fruit salad, and a sherbert fountain (4.5 syns) I even had a twister (4.5 syns) whilst hubby was wolfing down 3 scoops of Ben & Jerry's (which is my favourite by the way!!!)

So 9 syns today, but some fantastic choices made! Can't wait to see what those scales say tomorrow!

Saturday, 4 January 2014

Superfree!

Today has been full of superfree!

Breakfast was a SW grill up with Joe's sausages, lean bacon, frylight eggs and lots of mushrooms.

Snacked on a peach mid morning.

Lunch was lots of superfree salad with 100g of cottage cheese with pineapple (1.5syns) and some ham. This was utterly delicious! Have no idea why I had been avoiding cottage cheese for so many years!?!?!

Went out to deliver some SW leaflets early evening, so got 40 minutes of body magic :-)

Dinner was again lots of superfree... lots of stir fry veg chucked in a wok for 10 mins, added some ginger, chilli, soy sauce and cyder vinegar then a packet of mixed seafood. Spicy, crunchy and very yummy! For pud I had quark mixed with a forrest fruits yogurt topped with raspberries.

So had another really good day, looking forward to the scales on Tuesday :-)

Body magic!

Breakfast yesterday was 2 scrambled eggs with lean bacon followrd by a banana.

Snacked on an apple mid morninglunch was  4 ryvita topped with quark, peach and kiwi (yummy!) followed by a persimmon.

Finished work and went straight to the gym for some body magic! I did 12 minutes on the treadmill (half of which was jogging!! Proud moment) and 10 minutes on the exercise bikes. I would have done more but the hip was playing up and it was horrendously busy with all those new year dieters! But 22 minutes of exercise is better than sitting on my bum!

Snacked on some grapes on my way home.

Dinner was chicken with a big salad followed by a hifi light bar (3 syns)

My day was blissfully ended with a 2 syn hot chocolate in bed with a book :-)

Plus after all my hard work over the past 16 months, here is an updated pic... 1st is before joinging Slimming World, 2nd is in February 2013 (5 months in) and last is me at my most recent weight! So when I have a gain, a hard week or just feel downright crappy... this should keep me going!!

Thursday, 2 January 2014

Feeling motivated

My SW consultant and I love a little bit of healthy competition... she is 1st 10lbs away from target, i am 2st 2.5lbs away... we have decided we both want to be at target by the end of March, so why not see who gets there first??

So yesterday was spent trying to make up for the syns I had on Tuesday.

Breakfast was 2 slices of wholemeal toast topped with ham and cottage cheese followed by a banana.

Lunch was Baxters Chicken Broth soup (heb) a pot of grapes, an apple and a fat free yogurt.

Mid afternoon i snacked on 2 jazzie sweets at 1 syn each.

Dinner was roast gammon with carrots, brocolli and swede.

The race to target is on!!!

Wednesday, 1 January 2014

Late posting!

So I haven't posted for a few days. I weighed in early this week after my friend told me to own up to the scales... weigh in was Monday evening and I gained a hefty total of 9lbs!

Yesterday was new years eve and I tried to stay low syn...

Breakfast was 2 ryvita, a mullerlight yogurt and a grapefruit.

Lunch was a turkey and bacon sandwich with 0.5 syn of reduced fat salad cream, an apple, 2 satsumas and just under 1 syn's worth of SW trifle.

Dinner was a meal out with the hubby, he fancied Toby Carvery. I made a conscious effort all day to stay low syn and I refused to change that for a meal out... we were seated and I asked our waitress if I could have veg without butter, they were more than happy to oblige... topped with some sliced meat and a ladle of gravy, I jad myself a 1 syn meal :-)

Drinks at a friends was the downfall of my day... I had 26.5 syns worth of alcohol but did resist all the nibbles. Overall, 29 syns for the day, 2 days worth of allowance.

Today breakfast was 2 slices of wholemeal toast with scrambled eggs and tomatoes.

Skipped lunch was I was doing overtime at work and then needed to go food shopping.

Last of my new year celebrations was dinner with my dad and his girlfriend. We went to the Harvester. A bowl of superfree salad, a mixed grill with lots of swaps to ensure a syn free meal but I did treat myself to 6 syns worth of onion rings. I even resisted pudding when my dad and my hubby were plowing through theirs!

Went to my usual SW group tonight to get some extra motivation, and I am gunning for a good loss this week!
