A realisation!

So today I realised I am finally tackling my comfort eating ways. Had a stressful day today and usually when that happens all i want to do is eat. Not this time! Would have been easy to over indulge with the boxes of hifi bars in my work drawer and the seemingly never ending supply of chocolate in the house for the other half's lunches... but no! I put my head down, got on with my work and didn't stuff my face!

Breakfast this morning was a wholemeal ham roll with 0.5syn of light mayo followed by a banana.

Treated myself to a skinny latte for my Healthy  Extra A :-)

Lunch was an Asda Roasted Vegetable Cous Cous break with an apple, clementine and a fat free yogurt.

Got home from work and snacked on some ham.

I thought I would try something new for dinner so I had steak (fat removed) with mushrooms, roasted tomatoes and sweet potato chips... a new favourite accompliment!

About an hour after dinner I had some pud, again something I haven't had before... 2 meringue nests (5 syns) with natural yogurt and mixed berries. Yummy! Definitely my new favourite low syn treat.

So overall a great day. Making more of an effort to have at least 5 syns a day so that I don't feel deprived and I have to say, this way it doesn't feel like dieting! For me it really is a lifestyle change :-)

A pretty basic day today...

Sorry in advance for the boring post. Not really an eventful day apart from the stresses of day to day!

Breakfast was a wholemeal roll with ham, babybel light and 0.5syn of light mayo followed by summer berries with sweetener.

Lunch was chilli chicken low fat supernoodles (the whole office moaned about smelling loads of spicy chilli... oops) a fat free yogurt, satsuma and a pear.

Snacked on a hifi light mid afternoon.

Dinner was Maggi So Juicy chicken (2.5syns) with chicken savoury rice and lots of veg then a vanilla yogurt for pud.

Overall another good day on plan :-)

Busy day again...

So today has been a busy one.

Breakfast was wholemeal toast with sliced banana (because I enjoyed it so much yesterday!)

Snacked on an apple mid morning.

Lunch was a RiceTime for 1.5 syns (can you tell I haven't been shopping yet?? Lol) a clementine and 5 picked gherkins... yummy!!

Later I snacked on 2 pink'n'whites at 5 syns.

After doing an hour overtime after my work shift I had lots of rushing around to do... went to our wedding venue to pay some more of the balance, came home to feed the cat, straight back out again to the DHL depot to collect one of my bridesmaid's dresses, then off the the bridesmaid in question so she could try it on. Had lots of cuddles with her gorgeous little man then off for 2 hours of food shopping! Then I got home and de-cluttered the kitchen cupboards and freezer!

As you can imagine, when I finally finished all this at 10.40 I was in no mood to cook any dinner! So I snacked on some ham, smoked salmon and raw sugarsnap peas. Random, but it's all I fancied lol. I'm sure my appetite will return in the morning, so until then... goodnight!

Buzzing!

So today was weigh in day.

Breakfast was wholemeal toast topped with sliced banana.

Lunch was a Spicy Tikka Masala RiceTime and an apple.

Got to group this evening and stepped on the scales to a 2.5lb loss :-D been on plan all week but really didn't feel any different so I am completely over the moon!!

16lbs to go to my pre-wedding target and have 9 weigh ins to do it, so I'm buzzing!!

The dreaded night before weigh in...

So today has been another day on plan. Really really hoping for a loss tomorrow night!

Breakfast was a wholemeal bacon, egg and cheese sandwich with 0.5 syn of ketchup.

Snacked on an apple mid morning.

Lunch was a jacket potato with onion and chive cottage cheese followrd by a punnet of blueberries.

Dinner was a low syn takeaway, chicken and green peppers in black bean sauce with plain rice at 5 syns.

Later ate some grapes. So overall, it's been a good week. So only time will tell if it's paid off!

Sorry I didn't post last night, gor myself addicted to a game and completely forgot!

Breakfast yesterday was a bacon, egg and mushroom wholemeal sandwich with 0.5 syn of ketchup followed by an apple.

Lunch was a Thai Green Curry RiceTime... it was gross and so not worth the 1.5syns!

Mid afternoon I snacked on seafood sticks.

Dinner was cous cous pancakes with strawberry yogurt mixed with quark to make it thicker and mixed berries followed by a pink'n'white for 2.5 syns.

Busy busy!

So today has been a busy day. Got on the scales this morning for my usual mid week weigh and I have to say that I was disappointed! I've been 100% on plan all week and so fat I am staying the same! But instead of moping about it, I went in my living room, switched on the xbox and did 45 minutes jumping around the room on Just Dance.

Breakfast today was 4 ryvita with philly, cucumber and smoked salmon followed by a banana.

Lunch was left over pasta from last night (1.5syns for the philly in it as already had my hea for breakky)

Snacked on fruit and yogurt throughout the day.

Dinner was hoisin duck skewers from Iceland (syn free) followed by a blueberry and strawberry yogurt layer.

Supper was seafood sticks as I got peckish whilst doing lots of wedding prep!

So overall, another good day. Hoping this morning's weigh gets better by Tuesday!

Late night blogging...

So I am feeling really bloated today! Think I am in need of some serious body magic this weekend if I am wanting a loss on those scales on Tuesday!

Breakfast this morning was 2 benefit light bars and a banana.

Lunch was low fat Thai Sweet Chilli Supernoodles, a yogurt and an apple.

Snacked on a pear mid afternoon.

Dinner was pasta with chopped tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, lots of chilli and 70g of light Philidalphia topped with sliced chicken breast. It was delicious! Even made spare for tomorrow's lunch :-)

So far 100% on plan so really not sure why I am feeling so bloated? Maybe all the fluids I'm drinking? Oh well, surely if I continue on this track I am bound to lose something! And I'll definitely do some sort of exercise tomorrow :-)

Late night...

So last night was a late one, hence no post. Sorry.

Breakfast was 2 benefit light bars and a plum.

Lunch was a ham salad with fat free dressing,  a yogurt, apple and clementine.

Dinner was Birds Eye Bake to Perfection salmon in chilli and ginger (these are £2 in asda at the moment and the salmon ones are the only syn free ones in the range) with stir fry veg and rice with roasted peppers and red onion... it was delicious!!

Upped my fluids again yesterday, over 2 litres drank. Lets see if it pays off!

On a mission

So I am on a high after last night's weigh in :-)

I am so dedicated to losing this 18.5lb in the next 10 weeks.

Breakfast this morning was 2 weetabix with sliced strawberries and natural yogurt.

Lunch was left over chickpea dhal from last night followed by a fat free yogurt, a pear and a clementine.

Snacked on an apple on my way home from work.

Dinner was a SW brinner :-) 3 light choices sausages at 1.5 syns, bacon beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and scrammbled eggs.

Now I'm going to snuggle up in bed with a hot chocolate and a book.

Challenge accepted!

So today was a day of temptation!

Breakfast was 2 slices of wholemeal toast with marmite, followed by a plum.

Training all morning at work, biscuits and chocolate being passed around freely and at the end of the training session in come 4 large Dominos Pizzas! But I resisted and I am so proud of myself for doing so :-) I went back to my office and had cous cous and a yogurt.

Came to my weigh in, and I lost a mammoth 5.5lbs!!! Over the moon!!

Chickpea dhal and rice with added mushrooms and onions for dinner, which I brought to group so that I wasn't tempted to spend money on my usual low syn takeaway on my way home.

Onwards and upwards now... and a mini challenge to get down to 13st in time for my dress fitting on 31st July. That's 18.5lbs over the next 10 weigh ins... CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!

The night before weigh in...

So if I was going to mess up, it would be today. Mondays are always my hardest day because I usually think 'well I've done what I can for the week, a little treat won't hurt' Not today though!

Breakfast this morning was a yogurt, strawberries, banana and nutrigrain breakfast biscuit layer... it was delicious!! Definitely a recipe to have again!

Lunch was a PastaVita, fat free yogurt, an apple, clementine and plum.

Dinner was Cod lion sprinkled with mixed herbs (another new recipe!) with mixed veg and diced potatoes.

Snacked on fruit and a pink'n'white. So 4 syns all day :-) BRING ON THE SCALES!

Feeling good :-)

So today was another good day on plan :-)

Breakfast was cous cous pancakes (1/2 the usual massive helping!) with strawberries, banana and natural yogurt.

Dinner was Chinese Beef with Mushrooms and boiled rice (4.5 syns) followed by 2 mikado (1 syn) and a plum.

Because I ate dinner quite early I was peckish by 9pm so had a cheese and ham toastie (with low fat cheese and wholemeal bread)

So overall, another fantastic day! Just tomorrow to go and I am looking forward to seeing what those scales say on Tuesday :-D

Belated post...

Sorry for the late post, fell asleep whilst watching a film last night!

Another good day on plan :-)

Breakfast was 2 aldi benefit bars and a plum.

Lunch was a chicken salad but did eat 3 of my other halves onion rings (I think I have come to the realisation that I cannot resist onion rings if they are put in front of me!!)

Dinner was yet another birthday dinner... my mum and step dad took us to Tony Carvery. I love that place! Where else can you get lots of meat and unlimited veg for only £5.99?? Did have 2 roast potatoes and 1/2 a ladle of gravy but otherwise syn free! Looking forward to weighing in on Tuesday... hoping to make a dent in my pre-wedding target!!

Long day!

So today has been a long and busy day, but I have been determined not to let anything get in my way.

Breakfast was 25g raisen wheats with 100ml semi skimmed milk followed by a plum.

Snacked on a hifi light bar mid morning (3 syns)

Lunch was an Uncle Ben's RiceTime (1.5 syns) an apple and 2 satsumas.

Dinner was a belated birthday treat from my wonderful preggers friend :-) went to the Woodlands Edge (hungry horse) and had a mixed grill. Swapped the sausage for an extra fried egg and chips for a jacket spud but did eat my onion rings. Overall a lovely meal that was roughly 4-5 syns :-)

Lots of fluid today and came home to do some housework (body magic right there!)

The weekend will be my toughest challenge this week, but I will not let my want for greasy/creamy food get in the way! I can do this... I WILL DO THIS!!

Back on the wagon!

So today was my first day 100% back on plan and I have to admit, I'VE LOVED IT!!

Breakfast was 35g frosted wheats with 100ml semi skimmed milk.

Lunch was a PastaVita (1.5 syns) an apple and 2 satsumas.

Snacked on an apple, blueberries and a plum.

Dinner was a belated birthday meal cooked my the bestie. We had steak, chunky SW chips with asparagus and 1.5 syns on mayo and ketchup.

Brilliant day all round and I even have enough syns for a hot choccie should I want something sweet later :-D

Confession time!

So time to confess to my sins (or syns!!)

Since Saturday I have eaten crap! I have scoffed my face with crisps, McDonalds, Pizza, chocolate... you name it, I ate it! Was really tempted not to weigh in last night and try to disguise my horrendous week by skipping a weigh in. But I decided against it. Enough was enough. I ate myself fat and after losing 4stone I refuse to do it again! I have so much to look forward to in the near future: getting married, wearing a bikini on my honeymoon, starting a family... all of which I will enjoy more if I lose more weight.

So get on the scales last night and I gained a whopping 4lbs! That's 1lb a day for each day I was off plan!

So today I got up and made myself 2 wholemeal slices of toast, frylight eggs and cherry tomatoes followed by sliced apple and a satsuma. What a great way to stary my birthday! :-D

Lunch was an Uncle Ben's RiceTime and 2 satsumas.

Dinner was a night out with my dad, his girlfriend and her son. We went to cosmo. I won't lie and say that I ate like an angel, but I did go for low syn options and meats in very little sauce, ate salad and fresh sushi. Did have 2 little moussey puddings but also had melon and grapes.

So overall a relatively good day. Nothing else will get in my way this week! I will have a low syn day tomorrow and I am adamant I will have a good loss next week!

Sorry for not blogging over my embarrassing weekend, but I'm back now, and I will not let you down!

A good day :-)

So today I have been 100% on plan.

Breakfast was cous cous with yogurt and banana.

Snacked on half a chocolate scan bran cake (3 syns) late morning.

Lunch was chilli chicken low fat supernoodles, fat free yogurt, a pear and a satsuma.

Snacked on quarter of the scan bran chocolate cake (just under 2 syns)

Dinner was chicken breasts with asparagus and savoury rice. Pudding was strawberries,  blueberries and natural yogurt.

May snack on some ham if I get peckish later, so overall good day :-D

Challenged out!

Today has been a good day for food. Started a new challenge today... the scan bran challenge. 5 scan bran every day for 5 days. Today I had them dry with different toppings. I have to admit, I'm not a fan, but I will try a cake or something tomorrow.

Breakfast was 2 scan bran with light Philidalphia,  cucumber, tomato and ham.

Snacked on a fat free yogurt and a pear late morning.

Lunch was 2 more scan bran with light Philidalphia and yellow pepper, sweet pepper PastaVita (1.5 syns) and 2 easy peelers.

Later had snacks of a hifi light (3 syns) and my last scan bran dipped in a vanilla yogurt.

Dinner was Chicken breasts with steamed carrots, brocolli and sweet potato and a small amoubt of gravy. Followed this with pineapple, melon and kiwi topped with natural yogurt.

Working my way to my birthday weekend, and I'm hoping to get a 2lb loss next week... have given up on my Squat Challenge (was way too difficult!) so going to find myself some other exercise to do!

Weigh in!

So today is weigh in day...

Breakfast was 4 ryvita with light philly and ham.

3 cups of coffee throughout late morning and eary afternoon.

Lunch was a mugshot and a Shape rhubarb crumble 0% fat yogurt.

Got to group and lost 3.5lbs :-)

Gonna leave her this evening and have a low syn chinese, well on my way to getting a good loss in time for my wedding!!

Refusing to go back to old habits!

So today started off great...

Breakfast was pineapple, strawberries and kiwi layered with natural yogurt and some sweetener.

Lunch was Iceland's Hoisin Duck Skewers on a big bed of salad.

Had some upsetting news mid afternoon. Lots of tears. 8 months ago I would have headed straight to kfc or dominos and then got ice cream for after... it was so hard to resist doing it. But I refuse to go back to those old habits! Instead I snacked on 2 pickled eggs and 3 babybel light.

Dinner was 2 wholemeal toast with ham, mushrooms and poached eggs. Mini Fab for pud at 2.5 syns... and I may even treat myself to another :-)

Eating out can be low syn :-)

So today was a day/evening out and about with my other half.

Breakfast was a SW full english... 2 tesco light choices sausages, lean bacon, beans, 1 frylight egg, mushrooms 2 wholemeal toast and cherry tomatoes. That whole thing was only 1 syn and a HEB!

Lunch was a quick one whilst out shopping, stopped into weatherspoons for chicken and pepper skewers with a side salad and piri piri sauce. The sauce was 3 syns and I allowed another 2 incase of any oil (6 syns so far...)

Dinner was another meal out, but went to the harvester. Lots of superfree salad to start, then a mixed grill without the onion rings, black pudding, sauce or butter on the peas. Opted for en extra fried egg (1 syn for the two) and swapped the sausage for an extra bit of steak. Again allowing 2 syns for oil... had myself a 5-9 syn day :-D

Day 3 of my 30 day squat challenge, spread my 60 squats over the day... the last 20 were the hardest but I did them :-) glad I can have a break on them tomorrow lol!

Busy busy!

So today has been a busy one! Woke up at 7.20 because of the other half's snoring! Got out of bed and made a large pot of strong filter coffee. Just before 9am I had cous cous pancakes with strawberries, banana and natural yogurt.

11am and I went to the besties to help de-jungle her garden in preparation of my birthday BBQ she has kindly agreed to host next weekend! So 5 hours of gardening, and I am aching for it now! Did break for luch which was 4 ryvita with 70g of light Philidalphia and smoked salmon, and baby cucumbers and cherry tomatoes on the side.

Went out for tools and realised I had a flat tyre on my car so even learnt how to change a tyre today!!

Took two under 6's to the fair so as they sat and scoffed McDonald's, the bestie and I decided on takeaway Toby Carvery so that we could eat low syn :-)

Now I'm home snuggling with the hubby-to-be wondering how the hell I am going to do day 2 of the 30 day squat challenge, I already ache so bad!!!

Getting back in the right frame of mind!

So today I feel less like I want to eat everything!! Actually enjoying being back on plan now, and the food of last weekend is finally out of my mind!

Breakfast this morning was 2 ryvita with 35g of light philly and ham, followed by a banana.

Snacked on a hifi light bar and a pear at around 10am.

Lunch was a Medium Curry Uncle Ben's RiceTime (1.5 syns) with a yogurt, apple and satsuma.

Came home from work and snacked on seafood sticks. Later had 8 olives (1 syn) dipped in 35g light philly (the other half of my healthy A)

Dinner was tuna steaks and SW chips with fresh green beans and asparagus, and a side of 1.5syns worth of light mayo.

Now I'm going to have half a honeydew melon and head off to bed with a book :-)

Another challenging day!

So today I think I am coming down with something. All bunged up and a sore throat, maybe this is why I've been so hungry for days?? Haven't eaten everything I've wanted too, but not a perfect day either!

Breakfast was 2 weetabix with natural yogurt and chopped banana.

Was in training all morning and cake was being offered round, kicked myself for not taking a hifi bar or some fruit. I resisted for as long as I could but did end up eating a small slice of Victoria Sponge (no idea of the syns!)

Lunch was a ham and egg salad with 2 syns worth of salad cream (I have to say, I don't know why I waited so long to make this!! It was delicious!! Definitely a favourite now!) Followed by a pear, satsuma and a fat free yogurt.

Snacked on ham when I got home from work.

Dinner was king prawn stir fry, courtesy of the bestie. Had 2 tbsp of sweet chilli sauce for 3 syns, and it was so yummy!

So overall, not the best of days, but also not the worst! I have eaten some very tasty low syn meals (and also a very tasty slice of cake but that won't be a regular thing!) Onwards and upwards from here, gonna lose on those scales next week :-)

Feeling hungry!

So today is day two back on plan and I can't help but feel hungry! I think it's all those carbs from the weekend telling my body to eat! Luckily I have managed to stick to eating syn free or low syn food but it is so difficult not to reach for the naughty foods I used to stuff my face with!

Breakfast this morning was cous cous with natural yogurt and chopped banana... it was my favourite cous cous yet!

Snacked on an apple mid morning.

Lunch was a wholemeal ham and salad sandwich, 3 babybel light, a satsuma, yogurt and a bag of Aldi Cheese Curls at 3 syns a bag.

Later had another satsuma.

Got home and made dinner of jacket potato with 3 syns worth of light butter, steak and salad. (Pic attached) Snacked of 2 boiled eggs and 3 slices of ham whilst the potato was baking.

Not hungry now, mega stuffed, and I'm hoping I stay that way! If not, I think I'll force myself to have an early night!!
