Back after a weekend of syn!

So Friday lunchtime I headed off to a weekend away with the family. First time all of us have got together at the same time and I have to say it was a fantastic weekend! Food choices at the holiday park were poor so I had a weekend filled with hot dogs, white bread, fish and chips... and LOTS of beer!

Tried on and collected my wedding dress on the way home... I ordered it in October and deliberately ordered it two sizes to small... now it's a size too big! And I can still afford to lose another 2 dress sizes before the big day so to say I was happy is an understatement!!

Weighed in at Liden last night and I gained 2lbs. I was actually over the moon with that as it was what I targetted as my maximum gain.

Straight back on plan this morning and I am determined to lose that 2lb this week.

Breakfast today was 4 ryvita with 70g of light Philidalphia and smoked salmon.

Lunch was Uncle Ben's Korma RiceTime (1.5 syns) with an apple and a yogurt.

Late shift at work and at about 5.30 I started feeling peckish so had a rice, lentil and chicken salad with 1 tbsp of sweet chilli sauce (1.5 syns)

Whilst out shopping I had a bag of Aldi Cheese Curls (3 syns)

Dinner at around 10.30pm (after hours of shopping!) was chicken with veg and boiled potatoes. I know I will go to bed stuffed but I have been so hungry today after 3-4 days of eating crap!! And I got through the day having only 6 syns!

Not such a good day...

So today started ofd really well...

Breakfast was 4 ryvita with grilled pepper philly followed by a yogurt and an apple.

Lunch was a roasted garlic and tomato PastaVita at 1.5 syns with syn free jelly and 2 easy peelers.

Date night tonight with the soon-to-be hubby, went to Toby Carvery where I can usually eat for minimal syns... but I had gravy and stuffing which I wouldn't usually do... then off to the cinema and the other half decided he was having ice cream, and I could not resist! Did decline the waffle cone but still sure I went over my syns today.

Will eat well over the weekend and hope the alcohol and today's hiccups don't do too much damage!

Buzzing!

So I'm still on a high after getting my award last night.

Going to aim for not gaining next week so making the most of being syn free (or low syn) before my manic weekend begins.

Breakfast this morning was left over bacon and chicken omelette.

Snacked on an alpen light mid morning. Lunch was chicken & herb low fat supernoodles, an apple and another alpen light. Then had 2 easy peelers a bit later.

Catch up night with the bestie and she made chicken with maggi so juicy (2.5 syns) with mexican savoury rice and mixed veg. It was delicious! Now we're letting that go down before some pudding... and that's melon :-D

Reaping the benefits!

So tonight was weigh in night... stepped on those scales and lost 1lb meaning I got my 4 stone award :-D

I am so over the moon, and I really couldn't have done it without all the support from the wonderful people in my Slimming World group.

Update on my food for the day...
Breakfast was 2 slices of wholemeal toast with grilled pepper philly, strawberries and a syn free jelly.

Lunch was Korma Rice Time.

Went to Slimming World to be weighed and the feedback from the others in group really kept me on track. Instead of my usual 4.5-5.5 syn takeaway, I came home and made a syn free omelette! Did allow myself a 1 syn banoffee yogurt, but overall a big success!

Now to be really good for the rest of the week in the run up to my big family holiday...

The night before the dreaded weigh in!

So today has been a manic day! Work was busy and I've come to realise that life is too short for regrets! As of now I will stop regretting being the overweight Kat and start embracing the healthier Kat I am well on my way to becoming! And I will do this with my friends and family by my side :-)

Breakfast this morning was frosted wheats with semi skimmed milk followed by a banana.

Lunch was Tomato and Chilli PastaVita with a yogurt, strawberries and 2 easy peelers.

Came home to an empty flat as the other half if our celebrating some best man's news. This meant I could have a tomato based dinner... Veggie Spag Bol with lots of garlic! Dan HATES the smell of tomato, garlic or vinegar (so I even treated myself to 2 picked eggs as a snack!)

Now heading for a snuggle with my kitty in bed whilst reading a good book :-)

I'll update tomorrow and we'll find out if that 4 stone award is mine or not...

A day of lovely food and company :-)

Breakfast today was wholemeal toast with frylight eggs and an apple.

Lunch was cous cous pancake stacked with sliced strawberries, banana, vanilla yogurt and 1 tbsp of golden syrup (2.5 syns) It was absolutely delicious and sooo filling! Pic attached!

Dinner was a catch up with my dad and his girlfriend. We opted for carvery at the Sally Pussy Inn. It was devine!  Enjoyed every mouthful. Lots of veg, gammon, turkey and beef, boiled potatoes. Did treat myself to some parsnips and gravy too, but I'm sure I can afford that!

Got myself a 1 litre water bottle yesterday and I am making it my mission to drink 2 bottles worth of fluid every day... today I did that, plus 2 coffees and a pint of diet coke!

Went to see some old family friends this evening. Haven't seen them since before my weight loss started, and they were all joyfully shocked at how different I looked. Makes me remember just how far I've come and keeping me determined to carry on to where I want to be :-)

Only just realised that I didn't post laat night!! Obviously enjoying the weather too much!

Breakfast yesterday was wholemeal toast with ham, cheese and Worcester Sauce, followed by strawberries.

Went shopping at lunchtime and found that Tesco are doing Uncle Ben's Ricetimes and Dolmio PastaVitas for £1 each!! Love those things and for only 1.5 syns each I had to stock up!

Came home and had a Mexican Chilli RiceTime, yummy!

Snacked on ham and a banana throughout the afternoon.

Dinner was Salmon with SW chips and mixed veg.

Loving the weather, so doing lots of washing. Meaning I'm in and out of the flat all the time rather than sitting on my bum! Suppose I better get back to it!!

Not giving in!

So today was a difficult day. Lots of stressful things have happened but zi have been determined not to go back to my old ways of comfort eating.

Breakfast was cous cous with yogurt and chopped strawberries.

Snacked on a hifi light bar at 10.30.

Lunch was a ham salad (lots of superfree!) Raspberry yogurt, an apple and a hifi light.

Went to the pub after work to celebrate on of my lovely friends going on maternity leave,  after the stressful day I've had it would have been so easy to have a glass or two of wine... but I stuck to a pint of diet coke :-)

Came home and snacked on seafood sticks (and for once I didn't eat the whole packet!)

Dinner was chicken breasts with steamed carrots and new potatoes.

The weekend will be a challenge on my already struggling week, but I am confident that I can get through it without sabotaging my weight loss!!

Feeling low!

I'm feeling so rubbish today! Really feel like I've let myself down :-(

Breakfast this morning was wholemeal toast with ham and light philly, strawberries and a yogurt.

It was the charity cake sale today. I went up to see how my cakes were selling and I couldn't resist a small slice of cake. It could have been worse, I could have gone for something covered in icing but I had a slice of fat free tealoaf. Hasn't made me feel less guilty about it though! I know I haven't gone over my syns the past 2 days, but not knowing the exact syn value of the buttercream yesterday and the tealoaf today has really upset me!

Lunch was jacket potato with beans and salad.

Snacked on ham, strawberries and blueberries during the afternoon.

Dinner was the usual Thursday night catch up with the bestie, she made syn free spag bol and I allowed myself a little sprinkle of low fat cheese on top.

I have more strawberries and yogurt for later.

I am determined not to let this low mood ruin my week, back to syn free snacks and meals tomorrow! I can do this, and I WILL GET THAT 4 STONE AWARD NEXT WEEK!!

Belated again!

Late night last night, hence no post! Got asked to bake for a charity cake sale so was up until 11.30 baking and icing 18 chocolate cupcakes and a fondant apple and cinnamon cake! Was one of the hardest things I have done since joining Slimming World!!

Yesterdays breakfast was 2 slices of wholemeal toast with Marmite then a banana.

Lunch was Sweet Thai Chilli low fat supernoodles with an apple, 2 easy peelers and a yogurt.

Got home and was baking away, it got to 9pm and I realised I hadn't had dinner!! Got 2 turkey steaks, frylighted a pan, half cooked them... took them out, spread on some Sweet Chilli Philidalphia then wrapped in lean bacon... returned the pan, turning until the bacon was cooked. Made up some mixed veg in the microwave.  That was honestly one of the best dinners I have had in a long time!!

Managed to get through the baking without a major hiccup, did have a little buttercream but had no other syns for the day so I cam live with that :-)

Happy happy happy!!!!

So tonight was the moment of truth... seeing if all my hard work paid off and I am so pleased to say that I lost 4lbs this week :-D

Breakfast this morning was Raisin Wheats (a first for me and they were yummy!) with semi skimmed milk.

Lunch was an Alpen light bar, a tomato mugshot, a pear and fat free yogurt.

Now sat in my Slimming World group having Image Therapy and wondering what to have for dinner... can afford some syns so may even have my usual low syn takeaway :-)

Onwards and upwards to getting that 4 stone award next week... only 1lb away!!! I am so close I can taste it!!!!!

Late post...

Another late post from me, date night with the other half last night so thought it warranted a delay.

Breakfast yeasterday was wholemeal toast with philly. Then an apple at around 10am.

Lunch was fat free chicken and herb super noodles, a pear, 2 easy peelers and a yogurt.

Dinner was at the Harvester. Usually I would have a mixed grill but didn't want anything too heavy so had chicken with boiled potatoes and peas, and lots of superfree from the salad cart. Did pinch Dan's 3 onion rings but had plenty of syns to allow for them :-)

Happy day :-)

After last night's late night dancing session I had a well needed lay in so ended up skipping breakfast.

Got up and had cous cous pancakes with rasperries and natural yogurt.

Dinner tonight was roast gammon with SW roast potatoes, carrots, brocolli and peas... I wolfed it down!

Now sat in my bedroom going through lots of old clothes, I've come across my work trousers from before starting Slimming World and thought I'd try them on... WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! I have attatched a pic so that you can see for yourselves just how many inches I have managed to lose.

It's days like this when I realise just how far I've come and it gives me the determination to continue to target :-)

Late post...

Apologies for the late post, I was dancing the night away until 2.30am and at that time writing here was the last thing on my mind when my bed was screaming my name!

Breakfast yesterday was 2 light choices sausages, lean bacon, 2 frylight eggs, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes.

Lunch was a jacket potato with beans and reduced cheddar cheese, followed by fresh strawberries.

Was a family birthday bash last night so on the way, me and the bestie stopped off for chicken shish kebabs with no pitta, lots of salad and lemon juice.

Lots of body magic with 3 hours of bowling, and air hockey then off to town for hours of dancing! Did treat myself to a white whine spritzer in between doet cokes but stayed sober meaning less syns and less money spent :-)

Getting friends to try new things!

So tonight was catch  up night with the bestie and things could have easily got messy but we were good :-)

Breakfast this morning was 4 Ryvita with Philly and ham, followed by strawberries.

Lunch was veggie stir fry, an activia banoffee snackpot (1 syn and they are delicious!!) and 2 easy peelers.

Dinner with the bestie was Steak, Chickpea Dhal Loaf and salad. Completely syn free and Alisha absolutely loved my Dhal Loaf!! Who knew eating healthily could taste so good?!? I'll be on my way to that 4 stone award in now time :-P

Doing well so far...

So far this week I am doing pretty well... I haven't been out for my usual Wednesday night dinner, I cooked instead. I didn't stuff myself with loads of syns Tuesday night, and I've prepared breakfast and lunch for the following day for a few days to keep me on plan :-)

Today's breakfast was 2 alpen light bars and strawberries.

Snacked on 2 citrus easy peelers at about 11am.

Lunch was leftover chickpea dhal loaf with salad, a yogurt and some exotic rice pudding.

Came home from work and did 30 minutes of enjoyable body magic on Just Dance whilst prawns were marinating for my dinner :-)

Dinner was prawn stir fry with chinese 5 spice... YUMMY!!

Got into bed early after longing for the heat of my blanket... so I snuggled ul with a book and 40g of Rainbow Drops at 4 syns.

Now I'm off to the land of nod, nu' night!

Recipes stolen from the food taster!

I am sooo geared up this week! Need to lose 5lbs over the next 2 weigh ins to get my 4st award before collecting my wedding dress!!

Breakfast this morning was wholemeal toast with ham and eggs, followed by a banana.

Lunch was a tomato mugshot, a pear, yogurt and alpen light bar.

30 minutes of Just Dance on the Kinect whilst making dinner... Dinner was Chickpea Dhal Loaf with lots of superfree (courgettes, red pepper, carrots, brocolli, cauliflour) and a side salad - recipe stolen from last night's food taster! And to keep on trend of the recipe stealing... I had exotic rice pudding for afters :-) Have to thank Lisa for that one! Definitely my new favourite desert!!!!

Weigh in night...

So today was weigh in day.

Breakfast was 2 weetabix with natural yogurt and chopped banana with 1/2 a tablespoon of golden syrup drizzled over. It was delicious!!

Lunch was a mugshot, an apple and a fat free yogurt.

Weighed in and I am very pleased that J lost half a pound! After cosmo (even though I was good) and all my water retention,  I am very happy with that! Now 5lbs away from losing 4 stone, set myself a mini target of 3lbs for next week.

Food taster tonight so I tried some gorgeous exotic rice pudding, chickpea dhal loaf and sushi to die for! I even made half syn mini chocolate muffins :-D

Came home and the other half treated me to chinise... I opted for a 5 syn option (chicken with vegetables) but I did pinch two of his chicken balls.

Making some rice pudding for tomorrow... I am planning on a great week!!

So so sorry!!!

After blogging so well I completely forgot yesterday!! Sorry!!

Yesterday breakfast was Philly toast and ham.

Lunch was homemade salmon sushi.

Then went to the besties for a roast, and because I have the most fantastic bestie, she even did it SW friendly for me :-)

Today I repeated yesterdays breakfast and lunch because I enjoyed them so much. Added a banana for breakfast and a yogurt and a pear for lunch time.

Dinner was steak,  SW chips and mushrooms.

I think I am going to gain this week because of the dreaded cosmo and the fact that it was my *star* week. No matter how well I eat, that combo is very unlikely to be friendly to me haha!

Trying new things...

Today I finally went shopping and I've got some new things to try :-)

Breakfast was 2 alpen light bars.

Later snacked on a banana and some seafood sticks.

Dinner was Asda's chickpea dhal with added chicken and lots of mixed veg. Everyone in my Slimming World group has been raving about it and I must say, it did not disappoint! Was delicious :-)

Having an early night tonight with my cat! DVD's and my electric blanket, and since I've had no syns today, I might even snuggle up with a hot chocolate!!

Chinese is not my friend...

So today I had a hectic day at work.

Breakfast was grab and go, 2 hifi bars and a clementine.

Lunch was gammon, boiled potatoes and mixed veg from the canteen.  Followed by a yogurt and another clementine.

Went to Cosmo with my bestie. I didn't go hell for leather like I did last time, had minimal sauce and nothing in batter. Treated myself to some eton mess for pud but made sure I had plenty of superfree with melon and grapes :-)

Everything tasted devine but I have to admit that it has not agreed with my body! Belly is doing somersaults! Won't go again in a hurry, but then I've said that before! Haha

Making the most of healthy eating!

So this morning I ate cous cous mixed with yogurt and forest fruits.

Lunch was Tomato, Herb and Onion pasta n sauce with a yogurt and a clementine.

Snacked on an apple.

Dinner was River Cobbler, boiled potatoes and vegetables.

No syns or heb so far today so may treat myself to a hifi bar or some ryvita a bit later, but loving being on plan :-)

Walkies

So after posting my blog last night I ate all of my Easter chocolates!! All 36 syns worth :-( but today is a new day and was my first day of not driving. Got the bus to work at 7.30am, hate the bus!!

Got to work and had 2 hifi light bars and a yogurt for breakfast. Snacked on an apple later on.

Lunch was Jacket Potato with baked beans.

Got to the end of my working day and I could not bring myself to get onto thw bus twice in one day... so I decided to walk the 2.7 miles home instead. And I actually enjoyed it!!

Home now making a syn free dinner of BBQ chicken (oh I do love frylight!) SW chips and vegetables. Will treat myself to a hot chocolate later and maybe even some fruit with a tbsp of golden syrup :-)

Cast on!!

So today I got up early to head off to a hospital appointment to have my hand put in a cast... went to the hospital canteen after and struggled through some scrammbled egg on 2 slices of wholemeal toast.

For lunch I didn't feel like trying to cut anything or holding a fork so I went for a wholemeal gammon salad sandwich with an apple and a diet coke. That was a much deserved 8 syns.

Just about managed to stay under my syns for the week and got myself 1lb off at Slimming World tonight :-)

Off home for a syn free dinner... not sure what yet but I am determined to get 2lbs off next week :-D

Making up for a weekend of syning...

So I am still within my weekly syn allowance, but after the weekend I've had I am definitely compensating!!

Breakfast was Weetabix Minis and a yogurt.

Lunch was chicken, onions, peas, mixed herbs and eggs... all mixed up together. Sounds odd but it is blooming lovely!!

Snacked on ham and a clementine early evening.

I have been driving all around Swindon delivering wedding invitations tonight so dinner was something quick and easy... salmon and vegetables.

Now I'm off to bed in the hope sleeping will burn off some of the alcohol and chocolate I had Saturday and Sunday (unlikely but a girl can dream!)
