Naughty naughty

Sorry I'm posting late, busy evening for me last night!

Breakfast yesterday was two hifi light bars (heb), an apple, plum and mullerlight yogurt.

Lunch was a boots sushi salad (1.5 syns) with a bottle of water and apple slices.

The afternoon didn't do well... Someone in the office brought birthday cake from Dobbies. Dobbies have the best cake... I couldn't resist. I had a big slice of coffee and walnut. Oops.

Dinner was a salmon and feta salad (HEA) followed by 7 syns of ice cream.

The day could have been so much better, but it's done and I can't change it. Hopefully I had enough syns floating for the week that I won't gain. Syn free day today for me!

Hungry day

So today I have been mega hungry. The joys of hot weather and a cluster feeding baby!

Breakfast this morning was marmite on 2 slices of wholemeal toast (HEB) with a side of blueberries and strawberries.

Lunch was ham, cucumber, tomatoes, a mullerlight yogurt and 30g cheddar cheese (HEA)

Snacked on a lemon and liquorice ice lolly (4.5 syns) and 30g weetabix minis (HEB2) mid afternoon.

Dinner was steak with butternut squash "spaghetti" and mushrooms.

Once A was in bed I had a hifi light (3 syns) my leftover pork from yesterday (1.25 syns) and a fruit pastilles lolly (3 syns)

Still within syns for the day (11.75), but lots of food eaten. Hoping to be a little less hungry tomorrow!

Double blogging...

Sorry for my last of post last night. I was absolutely shattered from work and I completely forgot!

Breakfast yesterday was 30g weetabix minis dipped in a mullerlight yogurt.

Lunch was a Chicken and Mango Salsa salad from Aldi for 1 syn followed by an apple.

Snacked on a bag of skinny metcalfes corn cakes for 12 syns mid afternoon.

Dinner was a sweet and sour chicken slimming world ready meal with a side of onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and yellow pepper pan fried in frylight, garlic and chilli.

Today breakfast was 4 ryvita (HEB) topped with light philly (HEA) and smoked salmon trimmings plus half a banana.

Snacked on 2 boiled eggs mid morning.

Lunch was a feta and fig salad with a mullerlight and a pear.

Afternoon snack was boots shapers salmon and prawn sushi salad. They are amazing for 1.5 syns!!

Dinner tonight was half an Aldi's bbq pork fillet (1.25 syn) with sweet potato, broccoli and carrots.

So this week is getting off to another good start! Looking forward to keeping this up for the rest of the week :-)

The start of a new week

So week two begins!

Breakfast was 35g fruit and fibre topped with a cherry mullerlight and lots of grapes.

Lunch was a family trip to the carvery before doing our food shopping. Lots of speedy veggies, turkey and beef plus 2 stuffing balls and a yorkshire pudding (7.5 syns) - no roasties or gravy.

Snacked on my HEA of mozzarella whilst making A's dinner.

Due to my big lunch I didn't fancy anything big or cooked for dinner so I opted for seafood sticks, a pink lady apple and a mullerlight.

Good day all round I'd say. Lots of sw friendly food in for the week. Looking forward to working my way to another loss.

Weigh day posting

So this morning was weigh in...

I am very pleased to say that I lost 6lbs!! I'm definitely back in the swing if things.

Breakfast was a banana and a hifi bar.

Anyone who read my blog before will know that weigh day is treat day in my house. So yesterday lunchtime I spend some much needed time with hubby and we went to a Chinese buffet. I'm unsure of syns but I made sure I had plenty if fruit and vegetables.

Dinner was back to business. 2 wholemeal rolls filled with lean steak, mushrooms and cheese.

Looking forward to another good week!

Tardy posting...

Good morning peeps.

Sorry for my lack of post last night. Hubby and I spent most of the evening cleaning the downstairs of the house from top to bottom, I was too tired to post by the time I got to bed.

Breakfast yesterday was 2 slices of wholemeal toast (small loaf so HEB) topped with 35g light philidalphia (half HEA) served with scrambled eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms.

Lunch was afternoon tea with a friend. No it wasnt on plan, but yes I enjoyed it! Mini sandwiches, cake and 2 scones with cream and jam were consumed. I have no idea of syns (but I'd have saved some because A stole loads of my food haha)

Dinner was speedy a Subway salad with turkey and ham. Then I ate some grapes early evening.

So no, not the best day plan wise but it was pre-arranged and I had low syn days to allow for it.

I'm facing the scales this morning. I'm excited but nervous. Wish me luck!

Cous cous overload!

So I started my day with breakfast couscous. Plain cous cous made with a little hot water and left to cool, then add a mullerlight. Mix and top with frozen fruit, leave overnight to defrost.

Snacked on an alpen light and some grapes mid morning (HEB)

Lunch was left over giant cous cous and quinoa with added veg (3 syns) - didn't realise I was overloading on couscous today haha!

A satsuma and a skinny latte (HEA) as an afternoon snack.

Came home from work and made A dinner, I cheekily had half a hot dog (1 syn) once he was in bed I made a sw cottage pie ready meal with some steamed butternut squash and broccoli. 

Another good day, and I'm already feeling the benefits of healthy eating. I have a pre-arranged trip for afternoon tea tomorrow. It won't be on plan but all other meals this week have been and I've been keeping my syns low so hopefully it won't affect my loss too much.

Still looking forward to those scales!

Loving being back!

So we've had two difficult nights in the Ornsby household. A is teething something chronic and cut his second tooth overnight. Because of this he's a snotty mess and refusing to sleep in his cot. 3.30am wake up call for me this morning, and that was after being woken up every 30-60 minutes throughout the night.

Usually when I'm tired I slack. I reach for convenient and comforting food.

I am so proud to say that I got through the day today with 13.5 syns!

Breakfast was 35g fruit and fibre (HEB) topped with a mullerlight and strawberries.

Popped into town late morning and had a skinny caramel latte from Costa (HEA +0.5 syn)

Lunch was a ham and cucumber sandwich (6 syns for wholemeal bread) a snack pack of grapes and a pink lady apple.

Dinner tonight was an Asda Giant couscous and quinoa steam bag (3 syns) mixed with lean pork fillet, asparagus and green peppers. This was followed by an Iceland Solo ice cream pot (usually 5 syns but of course I had to share with A so I'm counting 4)

After putting A to bed I really fancied something sweet. I had sweetened Quark with a few drops of almond essence then topped with frozen berries. I could have easily gone for the mountain of chocolate which is in the cupboard but I resisted.

Good day all round I'd say! I'm absolutely loving being back!

And the wanderer returns...

Good evening ladies and Gents! I have finally found my motivation. My slimming buddy Terri and went back to group on Saturday morning and we are determined to shift this weight!

I have a beautiful 9 month old boy, and he deserves a fit and healthy mummy.

Breakfast this morning was a lean bacon sandwich with wholemeal bread (HEB) and a side of scrambled eggs.

Lunch was a big salad packed with speed foods and topped with cottage cheese and grapes followed by a flat peach and a mullerlight yogurt.

Snacked on a pear in the afternoon.

Dinner was salmon, sweet potato chips, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. It was lovely, A thought so too!

Put A to bed and settled down on the sofa with a bowl of sweetened Quark, strawberries and blueberries plus a treatsize curly wurly (3.5 syns)

Overall a pretty good day. I'm looking forward to the scales at the weekend!
