Busy day...

So today has been a busy day full of visiting friends and family plus hospital appointments. Things could have gone better but then they also could have been a lot worse!

Breakfast was a fruit medley from tesco (pineapple, watermelon and honeydew melon) at around 10.15am.

Lunch wasn't consumed until gone 4pm and it was a quick grab from the hospital shop. It was a tuna salad sandwich on wholemeal bread, baked crisps and a kit kat (19 syns)

Before leaving the hospital I had a skinny latte from Costa and I have to admit that I did have a cake too (unsure of syns but I will count 15 just incase!)

Dinner was a syn free SW ready meal of chicken saag followed by 2 hifi lights (heb2)

So probably around 34 syns today but I'll take that :-) no pictures today I'm afraid but I will try to keep syns to a minimum tomorrow to make up for the extras today.

Day one back on plan...

So today has been day one back on plan.

Breakfast was a Sharon Fruit, Apple and mullerlight yogurt.

Lunch was homemade butternut squash and carrot soup with 4x ryvita (heb) and boiled eggs.

Snacked on 2x toffee apple hifi lights (6 syns and AMAZING!) and a meringue next (2.5 syns) mid afternoon.

Dinner was a homemade spag bol with lots of superfree chucked in.

So a 8.5 syn day and I have to say I am very happy with it! I'm looking forward to another day on plan tomorrow :-)

Time to begin again...

So I have been awol for quite some time.

For those of you who don't know, we had a successful round of IVF earlier this year and I have spent the past 9 months growing a beautiful little boy! It was always my end goal with my weight loss and it worked!

I didn't follow slimming world for the majority of my pregnancy and made the most of eating everything I didn't have during my 2 year weight loss journey. But now I'm back! Our little boy Axel was born on 3rd November (2 weeks ago) and last night I faced the scales at group. I have gained a total of 4 stone, 4.5lbs throughout the  IVF process/pregnancy. I am now on a mission to get that back off and get back to target.

I can't wait to start blogging again and sharing all my ups and downs with all you lovely people.

I have attached a picture of my 39 weeks pregnant and another of me today, 14 days post partum. Updates to follow!

Weigh in...

So after a whole week of the new Slimming World EE SP plan (no carbs but lots of meat, fruit and veg) I am pleased to announce a 6lb loss!

I am so over the moon with this! Not quite my Xmas gain gone bit made a massive dent in it and this week I have experienced some really good food! I love the fact I can now have 35 pistachio nuts as a HEB!

So this coming week, I may do some more SP meals but I do think I may incorporate some yogurt back into my life!

I'll post again next week to let you know how I get on!

Happy slimming!

New year, new plan, an improved me!

Ladies and gents... Firstly, my apologies for being awol for a while! As a target member I felt that maybe my food diary etc could be boring as I was not trying to lose weight.

However, as per Xmas tradition I had an entire week off plan and I gained a massive 9.5lbs at weigh in on Monday!

Slimming World have  made a few amendments to their plan and I have taken the bull by the horns and read my new book from cover to cover and have stuck to it 100% so far this week! I am trying new foods and recipes; it feels like I literally gone back to basics. Which in all honesty, I think it was needed as I was getting complacent.

So far this week I have eaten butternut squash and gammon soup, smoked salmon and Feta omelette plus tonight I am trying Indian Spicy Mince with cottage cheese raita.

I am loving being in control again!

So my plan for now on... I won't promise to post daily, because I am due to start the next stage of my IVF this week and can't say I am likely to keep to it; but I will post after weigh in each week and give you all a rough idea of my meals for the week :-)

Happy slimming and a very happy new year to you all!!!
